Manager put on gardening leave by struggling Tigers

Hull City manager Phil Brown has been relieved of his duties at the struggling Premier League club, following a string of poor results, which have left the Tigers second bottom in the league table, three points from safety.

The news comes after intense speculation on Friday afternoon over Brown’s future, and PaddyPower saw a huge gamble on the Hull City boss to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post, with the odds on Brown leaving dropping from 16/1 to 2/5 in the space of a few hours.

The rumours now appear to have been on the money, with the club confirming that assistant manager Brian Horton and Steve Parkin will take over first-team duties, effective immediately.

Hull City can be backed at 8/11 with Coral to be relegated from the Premier League
