Lazio currently occupy the final qualifying spot for next season’s Champions League, but a record of 16 wins, six draws and 10 defeats means they have not been able to open up a comfortable lead over the teams below them. Just three points separates them and fourth-placed Udinese, while city rivals Roma are a further point behind, and that means the pressure is firmly on them to continue picking up points over the final six games of the season. However, Lazio have been unable to string together results over the past several weeks, winning just two games while losing four. They come into this match on the back of a defeat to leaders Juventus so they desperately need to bounce back quickly, and they are 5/6 favourites to do that at the expense of their hosts.

Novara are second-from-bottom in the standings, with a record of five wins, 10 draws and 17 defeats leaving them staring relegation in the face. The hosts are 11 points from safety with six games to go, but it will be a big ask for them to wipe out that deficit with only 18 points left to play for. They come into this match on the back of a defeat to Parma, meaning they have only taken two points from their last four games, and Novara are 16/5 to respond to that with a shock victory here. The draw is priced 5/2.

This match comes under bet365’s “Bore Draw” promotion and BetVictor’s “Don’t Hit The Bar” promotion. For bet365, place a pre-match correct score, half-time/full-time or scorecast bet and if the match finishes 0-0 all losing bets on those markets will be refunded. For BetVictor, place a five-fold or upwards on 90 minute (win/draw/win) football markets and if you have only one losing selection you will be refunded your stake as a free bet.
