Next Celtic Manager betting

Will Davies - 5 Mar 2009

Gordon Strachan is expected to leave Celtic at the end of the season and SkyBet are already working out who’ll be his replacement. SkyBet offer just 4/6 that Strachan is still in charge of Celtic at the beginning of next season. Strachan has made no secret of the fact he wants to manage in the Premiership again and that will more than likely be his destination.

Roy Keane, who had a short stint playing at Celtic after he left Manchester United, is the 3/1 favourite with SkyBet to land the job after Strachan leaves. Keane who managed to bring Boro back to the premiership is currently a free agent and could prove the ideal replacement.

The other managers featured in Skybet’s list of candidates are two Scots, Mark McGhee and Owen Coyle, they can be backed at 7/1 and 8/1 respectively with SkyBet. Mark McGhee is currently in charge of Motherwell having also managed Millwall and Wolverhampton. Owen Coyle is doing a great job in the Championship with Burnley but undoubtedly would see the Celtic job a step up.

Other interesting names to make the list include Neil Lennon (16/1 SkyBet), David Moyes (20/1 SkyBet) and John Collins (20/1 SkyBet).
