Magpies can record easy win against relegation threatened Irons

Newcastle United are top of the table, and can extend their lead over West Brom to four points with a victory over Scunthorpe at St James Park this evening.

The Magpies are a best-priced 10/3 (WilliamHill) to beat the Irons, who currently sit third bottom of the Championship, and are in real danger of being relegated to League One.

The last thing a side in trouble want is a visit to the North-East, where Newcastle are unbeaten in eighteen league matches, average over two goals a game, and concede only once every two matches. Better teams than Scunthorpe have left with heavy defeats, and it would be surprising if the away team manage to even score, let alone leave with all three points (11/1, Ladbrokes).
