Real Madrid are the form team in Spain. Jose Mourinho's side may have lost to Barcelona but the Catalans slip up against Espanyol last weekend effectively negated that result and they are still five points clear at the top of La Liga. 

With Barcelona not in action until Sunday there is an opportunity for Los Merengues to move eight points clear on Saturday evening, providing that they can beat Mallorca. It is 2/7 at bet365 that Real Madrid beat the Islanders and that will be a popular bet on weekend accumulators.

Joaquin Capparos's side are, however, high on confidence ahead of Saturday's match. They beat Real Sociedad 6-1 on Wednesday, overturning a 2-0 first leg defeat to qualify for the quarter finals of the Copa Del Rey and they will not fear taking on the league leaders. It is 10/1 that they beat Real Madrid although beating Sociedad and beating Los Galacticos are two very different things.

The problem is that there are so many goals in the Madrid side. Cristiano Ronaldo has been quiet recently, perhaps disheartened by once again losing out in the Ballon D'Or to Lionel Messi, but Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain have stepped up and are forging a fearsome partnership in attack. It is 10/3 that the Frenchman opens the scoring and the same price that the Argentine breaks the deadlock. They are each 4/6 to find the net at any time on Saturday and possibly represent more value than Ronadlo, who is 4/11 in the same market.

Real should manage to score at least twice in the Iberostar Stadium and that should be enough to give them the win. They were held to a 0-0 draw on their last visit but they have progressed so much in the last year that that result is largely irrelevant now. They may not, however, have it all their own way and rather than betting on them winning by at least two goals, at 4/6, it might be worth chancing Mallorca to at least keep it close. The home side are 10/11 when given a two goal start (meaning they can lose by one and the bet is a winner) and that looks to be the value call on Saturday.
