His relationship with manager Roberto Mancini is seemingly in such a detrimental state that it looks irreparable, and with the wealth of options at Mancini’s disposal, it is difficult to see the Italian going back on his word to freeze out Carlos Tevez.

Tevez is just 1/4 with Ladbrokes to never play for the Eastlands outfit again, while you can get 9/4 on him pulling on the Manchester City shirt at least once more.

The Argentinian forward’s next move should be of paramount interest to punters though.

Last season’s joint Premier League Golden Boot winner is 50/1 to perform a remarkable U-turn and rejoin the Manchester United side he walked out on in 2009.

Tevez remains a hero, however, at the other English club he performed for, and a West Ham return is priced at 12/1.

While that may appear far-fetched, the Upton Park club is not short on cash, and with Tevez maintaining a superb relationship with the supporters of the club, this could prove a terrific price, bearing in mind that a loan deal between the clubs would still result in a payout.

Tevez is 7/4 to play for another Premier League club in the future, and 2/5 not to.

What looks the best bet at respectable odds, is Tevez to sign for a non-Premier League European club, and at 1/2, this definitely deserves some interest.

With Inter Milan, oil-rich Paris St Germain and billionaire-funded Russian outfit Anzhi declaring interest in his availability, it could be wise to take advantage of these odds regarding Tevez joining a non-English European side.

Again, a payout occurs even if Tevez only joins a club in a loan arrangement.

10/1 is the price attributed to Tevez announcing his retirement from football, and while it seems ludicrous that a player of his age would consider hanging up his boots now, he has made noises in the past about putting his family first if it did come down to it.
