Jack Rodwell is odds-on to leave Everton in January as rumours abound that Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all keen on the highly rated youngster.

The Daily Mail claims that Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is ready to make a £20 million offer for Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell and that is set to spark a bidding among the Premier League's top sides for one of English football's hottest prospects.

Rodwell midfielder has made 10 appearances for the Toffees this season, scoring two goals, and he made his full international debut for England against Spain last month. The 20-year-old didn't look out of place against the world champions and it now seems as though he is set to be rewarded for his good form with a move to one of the Premier League's biggest clubs.

It is now even money at William Hill that the young midfielder leaves Goodison Park in January and the struggling Toffees seem certain to cash-in on their prized asset. Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe told Bettingpro:

‘Everton’s season has been disappointing so far and the departure of Jack Rodwell would suggest that they have given up hopes of a European place next season.’

Chelsea are the even money favourites at Sky Bet to sign Rodwell in January and that looks to be his most likely destination, particularly given today's story in the Mail, although Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is a known admirer and may want to beat their rivals to one of English football's hottest talents, as they did with both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling. It is 8/1 that the midfielder joins his young England team mates at Old Trafford

The other option for Rodwell is Manchester City. The Citizens would surely win any bidding war with United and Chelsea and with Yaya Toure leaving for the African Nations Cup there is a gap to be filled in central midfield. Roberto Mancini has, however, indicated that he is happy with his current squad and Sky Bet's price of 10/1 that Rodwell moves to the Etihad Stadium in January reflects this.
