The Italian makes a 1,100-mile round trip on matchdays to watch his favourite English team in action. Giordano insists he prefers supporting lower-league football and is happy to pay £200 in traveling costs, in addition to £300 for his season ticket, to attend every home game. "My first English game was Arsenal versus Liverpool in 1987 but I particularly like lower league English football with the terraces, the crowd choirs and the combative players," he told Metro. "I love sitting in the Plough End at Ebbsfleet waving my two little flags. "I like the idea of owning a bit of a football club."
