Frank Lampard set to leave Chelsea FC for LA Galaxy this summer

LA Galaxy are looking for a new star after David Beckham’s departure and Frank Lampard will be offered a lucrative deal to sign for the American champions

Frank Lampard has been told that his time at Chelsea is up, with the 34-year-old now looking for a fresh project when his contract at Stamford Bridge comes to an end in the summer.

Despite protests from fellow players and supporters, it appears the club are determined not to make Lampard a new offer and the London Evening Standard report that the midfielder will now look to move across the pond and sign for LA Galaxy.

The Galaxy are the MLS champions and will be looking for a new poster boy following David Beckham’s recent departure from the club. Lampard would tick the right boxes and still has plenty of playing years ahead of him, having kept himself in excellent shape throughout his Chelsea career.

When asked specifically about Lampard, coach Bruce Arena said: “We wouldn’t rule that out. It’s always a possibility.”

Lampard visited Beckham in Los Angeles recently and enjoyed a Major League game, with many now expecting him to live in the States and play alongside Robbie Keane for the Galaxy.
