(credit: Alex Livesey/Getty Images) Related Articles See all Europa League news Share it Pin It Manchester City romped into the last-16 of the Europa League with a 4-0 thrashing of holders FC Porto.City came from behind in the first leg to take a 2-1 lead into tonight’s return meeting at the Etihad Stadium, and they made a blistering start to this one as Sergio Aguero, the match-winner in Portugal, fired home the opener inside 20 seconds.Joe Hart saved well from Sebastian Varela to keep City ahead and Aguero then almost doubled their lead on the half-hour mark when he raced onto a long ball over the top, but the Argentinian’s effort came back off the crossbar.City finally put the tie to bed when Aguero played in Edin Dzeko to fire home the second, and Porto’s night went from bad to worse when Rolando was given his marching orders after receiving a second yellow card for dissent.The hosts wrapped up an emphatic victory with two goals in the final six minutes as David Pizarro exchanged passes with Dzeko before crossing for David Silva to score, and Pizarro then got himself on the scoresheet to secure a 6-1 aggregate win.
