Friday sees some crucial Euro 2012 qualifying matches take place with several teams fighting to stay in the hunt for a place at next summer's tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Having won all the group stage matches, Germany are 1.17 with Unibet to extend their winning run in group A against Austria who are 15.00 to pull off a huge upset. Belgium on the other hand sit not so comfortably in 2nd place, well aware of the threat that Turkey pose. Having played one match more, Belgium are priced at 3.60 to finish 2nd in the group. Group B should offer a good battle between Republic of Ireland at 1.90 and Slovakia at 3.90 as they face each other in a match both teams will want to get all 3 points from.

Belarus are 2.45 to beat Bosnia & Herzegovina at 2.80 in group D to consolidate a tight 2nd place for which Romania are also in the hunt. Bosnia however won’t let themselves get run over in this crucial encounter as they’re determined to qualify, priced at 2.75 to place in the top two. Group G sees an interesting battle between England and Montenegro in their respective matches to top the group; both teams face an unbeaten run so far but despite England’s notorious slips in the past they are still 1.16 to win the group. Keep an eye out for Montenegro priced at 6.00 to win the group and most definitely still in the hunt!

With group leaders Spain guaranteed to finish in pole position, the only question left to ask in Group I is whether the Czechs will allow Scotland to keep themselves in the qualification race as they face each other in a must-win game for the Scots. Playing in front of their home crowd Scotland are priced at 2.45 to beat the Czechs who are 2.80 to win away from home.

Erik Backlund head of Unibet Sportsbook told Bettingpro:

“It is getting to the business end of the qualifiers now, with all the teams knowing that one bad slip up could mean not having a summer holiday in Poland and Ukraine next year!

“As it stands, defending Champions Spain are currently favourites to win the tournament priced at 3.75, with Germany 5.00, Netherlands 7.50 and England at 9.00. Of course both Poland and Ukraine do not even have to worry about qualifying and so if you want a bet that guarantees you action well into next Summer then Ukraine at 40.00 and Poland at 60.00 are where to look!”
