The draw for Euro 2012 takes place on Friday, and Paddy Power are betting on who will be England's opponents during the group stage.
Paddy Power has paired up England’s possible opponents ahead of the draw, offering 50/1 the Three Lions get an easy passage to the knockout stages and are grouped with Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic.
However it’s also 50/1 England get what would be their worst scenario on paper and are teamed up with Spain, Portugal and France.
One possible ‘Group of Death’ could be Spain, Germany, Portugal and France at 50/1 although the same moniker could be applied to the group were England to be the Pot 2 representative instead of Germany.
Paddy Power are also offering 50/1 on a ‘Group of Debt’ – that’s Spain, Italy, Greece and Ireland who have all been crippled by the Euro crisis in recent times.
England are also 11/4 to be grouped with reigning world and Euro champions Spain, whilst it is the same price for them to meet neighbours Ireland at a major championship for the first time since World Cup '90.
Ahead of the draw Fabio Capello’s men are 11/1 to win the tournament next summer, but 7/4 to crash out in the group stages. Spain are 5/2 favourites to defend their title.
