David Bayliss aiming to reshape squad

Barrow AFC manager David Bayliss has revealed he is hoping to add a few more experienced heads to his squad in the summer transfer window.

The Blue Square Bet Premier campaign will draw to a close this Saturday and Bayliss has wasted little time in putting together a list of possible summer targets.

And the Bluebirds boss has also confirmed he knows which players he would like to move on and who he would like to retain for the 2012/13 campaign.

Bayliss told the North-West Evening Mail: "I know who is going to go and where we need to strengthen for next season.

"It's been lucky enough to somehow get the money for what (players) we want.

"We know we need a few more leaders."

Bayliss has hinted that his backline needs to be strengthened and says he will not hesitate to show some of the club's longest serving players the exit door at Holker Street.

He added: "We have conceded too many goals and at times lack a bit of strength at the back, I think that showed again at Kettering.

"We know what we need and I will go and get that. If that means upsetting a few people by getting rid of some of the favourites then we'll do that.

"We'll have a meeting with Tony Keen and the board of directors in the next week or so. We know who we want to keep and who is going to go.

"I have already identified the players I want to bring in and have spoken to them, rightly or wrongly."
