Dave Bayliss calls for focus Visit Blue Square Save For Later Posted by Bettingpro Staff 8 Feb 2012 Tweet Related Articles See all Blue Square Premier news Share it Pin It Barrow joint manager Dave Bayliss has urged his players to stay focused on the task at hand after Darren Sheridan was suspended by the club last week. The club's board of directors placed Sheridan on gardening leave last Friday to 'investigate an allegation that has been highlighted to the Board'. However, Bayliss feels the recent happenings at the club should be of no concern to the Bluebirds players, who prepare to take on Cambridge United in the Blue Square Bet Premier on Saturday. When asked if their preparations have been effected by Sheridan's suspension, Bayliss told the NWE Mail: "I think only the result will prove that. "If we get beat on Saturday, I think people will look and think it's all disrupted them (the players). "But when things happen they shouldn't make a damned bit of difference to what you're trying to do on the pitch. "At the end of the day, players are getting paid to play football and that's all they need to think about. "You just have to get your head down, work hard, put everything that is happening behind the scenes to one side and play football."
