Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, has admitted that he would consider a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is thought to be keen on signing Azpilicueta, who primarily plays as a right-back, as he looks to further strengthen his back four following the signing of Gary Cahill from Bolton.

The 22-year-old is valued at around £12million and it is thought that Marseille are open to letting him leave the club during the January transfer window.

But Azpilicueta insists Chelsea are yet to get in touch with him.

"There has been no contact, and I am still bound to OM until 2014," he told L’Equipe.

"Now, if the leaders of Chelsea want me, they should first discuss that with OM. If a proposal comes, I will think about it."

But the full-back hinted that he is also keen on a move to Spain, adding: "It is more difficult to start in the national team when you do not play at a great club. You have to be at Real Madrid or Barcelona."
