Chelsea 9/4 to qualify for UEFA Champions League final

Chelsea beat Barcelona 1-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi final but the English side are still massive underdogs to reach the final of the competition.

Chelsea have been cut to 9/4 by Sky Bet to qualify for the Champions League final after beating Barcelona 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

The Blues headed into the first leg at 7/2 to knock out the European champions, who were odds-on to win in London, but have now been cut from 10/1 to 7/1 to win Europe’s top-tier competition.

Barcelona remain the favourites as they look to become the first side to retain the trophy in its modern format, but have drifted out from 4/5 to evens, with Real Madrid 11/4 and Bayern Munich 7/2.

Sky Bet Football Trader Joe Petyt told Bettingpro:

“Chelsea were heavily supported pre-match and punters who backed the Blues at 4/1 will be pretty pleased with themselves after Barcelona failed to convert their chances.”

“It is hard to imagine Barca being so wasteful back at the Nou Camp and we still make them favourites to progress, but Chelsea have certainly given themselves a decent chance of making the final.”
