A guide detailing all the important dates for next season’s Champions League competition
With the sides that will be competing in the 2012-2013 Champions League having almost been decided, there are many fans who will now be looking forward to next season’s competition, and for those involved in qualifying matches in particular, planning their holidays around their teams’ matches.
The draw for the first and second qualifying round takes place on June 25th 2012, with the first round first-leg matches being played a week later on the July 3rd and 4th.
The draw for the third qualifying round takes place on July 20th, with the matches being played on July 31st, August 1st, August 7th and August 8th.
The final qualifying round will then be drawn on August 10th, with the first legs scheduled for either August 21st or August 22nd, and the second legs for August 28th or August 29th.
The eight Champions League groups are drawn on the August 28th, with the first match of the tournament proper being played on September 18th, and the final is set for May 25th, 2013 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
