Liverpool striker offered opportunity to play at the World Cup
Liverpool striker David N’Gog has been approached by the Cameroonian FA, with a view to playing for their national side.
N’Gog, who has represented France at youth levels, up to under-21, is yet to make a senior appearance for his country, and so would be eligible to play for another national side.
The 21-year-old qualifies to play for Cameroon through his father, and Cameroon manager, Frenchman Paul Le Guen, is keen for N’Gog to change allegiance, ahead of the upcoming African Nations Cup, and next year’s World Cup, for which Cameroon qualified at the weekend.
N’Gog said:
"I have had contact with the Cameroonian federation. Now I need some time to think about things. I'm very flattered,"
