Irish firm taking bets on various Henry/hand related specials

Irish bookmaker Boylesports have offered a free bet to all customers who backed Giovanni Trapattoni’s side to qualify for South Africa 2010, and have opened a market with various special bets relating to the now infamous ‘hand of frog’ incident.

The firm make the Barcelona striker even-money to make a public apology to the Irish, whilst French President Nicolas Sarkozy is 4/1 to apologise to his counterpart Brian Cowen.

Henry is 7/1 to sell his holiday home in Kerry before next summer’s World Cup finals, and is 20/1 to be stripped of the French captaincy before South Africa 2010.

Henry has many commercial interests, and sponsors Gillette have already publicly backed the star. Boylesports, however, are offering 18/1 that there is an Irish boycott of the shaving giants, or 16/1 that he is dropped by his other high-profile sponsor, Renault.

The Frenchman is 33/1 to be used as a Fifa fair play ambassador, and 80/1 to launch a soccer skills school with other controversial ‘hand-baller’ Diego Maradona.

Finally, the firm go 500/1 that Henry becomes a hand model, and offer the same odds that the 32-year-old represents the French handball team at the 2012 Olympics.
