Barcelona prepare bid for Cesc Fabregas transfer

Barcelona's sporting director Txiki Beguiristain admits his club are preparing a bid for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.

Fabregas left Barcelona for Arsenal six years ago, and has regularly been linked with a return to Barcelona's Nou Camp, along with Spanish rivals Real Madrid.

AC Milan have also recently been linked with a £30 million bid for the Gunner's star midfielder.

Beguiristain suggested Barcelona are prepared to test Arsenal's resolve to keep Fabregas providing the Spain international's price tag is not too high.

"It depends on how much we want to spend," said Beguiristain in Marca.

"If we spend a lot of money, it is possible to bid for Fabregas." continued Beguiristain.

"We do not know how much it will be yet. We have not asked Arsenal."

Arsenal are currently priced at odds of 17/2 to win the Premier League with Bet365, a long way behind joint favourites Chelsea and Man United at 2/1.
