Arsenal are arguably the most frustrating side in the Premier League and one of the worst teams to bet on. There will be some who will have made massive profits by opposing the Gunners over the last six months but those punters will not have been confident in their bets as Arsene Wenger's side frequently look good yet fail to deliver.

That was the case against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday with Arsenal unlucky not to cover a two or three goal handicap, never mind win the game at the Reebok. The match ended 0-0 and it was another missed opportunity for the Gunners, who now look like they will fail to finish in the top four for the first time in over a decade.

The obvious assumption is that they will bounce back against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon but it is now four Premier League matches without a win for the Gunners. They are a best price of 3/10 at bet365 to win at the Emirates Stadium but that price looks too short, even against relegation threatened Rovers.

The problem for Arsenal is that they simply can't defend at the moment. Per Mertesacker is apparently a German international but he looks clumsier than a League Two clogger and cannot do anything against players with pace. Blackburn aren't the quickest side but Junior Hoillet, who is 20/1 at Sky Bet to open the scoring on Saturday, could cause him problems, particularly as Arsenal will once again be without recognised full-backs.

However, Blackburn are unlikely to be able to win at the Emirates. Steve Kean's side were beaten 2-0 at home to Newcastle United on Wednesday and they have now won just once in their last five matches. Yakubu, who scored twice in the 4-3 win over Arsenal at Ewood Park earlier in the season, is still suspended and his absence means that Rovers will struggle for goals. It is 12/1 at Bet Victor that the visitors win on Saturday but even that isn't very tempting.

Instead, it is worth simply sticking with the one thing that is reliable in Arsenal matches, that Robin Van Persie will score. The Dutchman has netted an incredible 19 Premier League goals this season and he will be looking to add to that tally this weekend. He is as low as 4/9 with some firms to score against Blackburn but Coral offer a stand out 8/11. This is a great price, especially as the same firm make it 4/7 that there are three or more goals at the Emirate as it would be something of a miracle if Arsenal scored three times and Van Persie, the club's penalty taker, didn't find the net at least once.
