Agent says club should let player move in transfer window
Liverpool full-back Andrea Dossena’s agent has claimed that his client wishes to leave Anfield, and that the club should not stand in the way of the player, who is desperate for first-team football in order to secure a place in Italy’s World Cup squad.
Former Udinese defender Dossena has struggled to make an impact at Liverpool, and he has been heavily linked with a move back to Italy, with Napoli thought to be keen on securing his signature.
The player’s agent, Roberto La Florio, has suggested that Liverpool should allow the Italian to move, even on loan, in the January transfer window, saying:
"The will of Andrea returning to Italy is now clearly established,
"I hope that Liverpool give Andrea the possibility to go to play, also on a loan, to regain a spot in the World Cup.
"Napoli? Officially there is nothing, because the market will open only in January.
"Last summer there was every reason for his move to Napoli, but then it didn't finish well.
"Interest of Roma? I've not had direct contacts with this club.”
