William Hill offer even money that Alex McLeish will cease to be Aston Villa boss before the start of next season.

McLeish’s arrival from Birmingham in the summer received a lukewarm reception from Villa fans, and they remain unimpressed with the ex-Blues boss.

A 2-0 defeat to Liverpool has only heaped more pressure on the Scot and he is evens to go before the start of the 2012/13 campaign, while William Hill make him a shade of odds-on at 8/11 still to be there.

Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe told Bettingpro.com: “Villa fans are clearly running out of patience with their side this season and McLeish is bearing the brunt of their complaints, regardless of how much leeway he has had to bring in quality players.”

Hills have also cut his odds from 12/1 to 8/1 fourth favourite to be the next Premier League manager to go.
