Inter Milan’s defeat to Catania on Friday night has given AC Milan a brilliant opportunity to close the gap at the top of the Serie A table to just one point, with a victory over Chievo on Sunday in the San Siro.
Milan are 2/5 (Bet365) to win the game, and they should, and have to, if they want to the end this season with any silverware. The San Siro crowd will accept nothing less than a convincing win, especially after the awful display in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Manchester United.
Domestically Milan are a good side, and they should be able to beat the one goal handicap (13/10, Bet365) and backing the home side on the half-time/full-time market, at 23/20 (WilliamHill) is probably a fairly safe bet.
Alexandre Pato (4/1, SkyBet) should be back in the starting line-up, and he is the Rossoneri’s biggest goal threat.
