2006 champion Neil Machin has been backed to win Fishomania 17 with Coral bookmakers, and is now their 5-1 (from 7-1) clear favourite to win the event, that takes place in Stoke on Saturday.

“As the only previous winner in the field, Machin was always going to be a popular selection,” said Coral spokesman Gary Burton

The event takes place at the Cudmore Fisheries in Stoke and is live on Sky Sports.
