Manchester United winger Nani and Chelsea midfielder Raul Meireles join Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid in the confirmed 23-man Portugal squad for Euro 2012.
Former Newcastle United midfielder Hugo Viana, now playing for Braga, has also been called up after Carlos Martins was ruled out through injury, the Portuguese football association have revealed.
Benfica midfielder Martins, who spent this season on loan at Granada, was originally included in coach Paulo Bento's squad for Poland and the Ukraine but a leg injury means he will not now be available.
Viana, 29, won the most recent of his 26 caps in 2007.
Also included is 20-year-old Benfica striker Nelson Oliveira.
Portugal, who reached the final of Euro 2004 which they hosted, are a best-priced 20/1 with
Bet365 to win Euro 2012.
They are 4/1 to win a tough-looking Group B that also contains Germany, Holland and Denmark.
Bento said: “It would not be surprising to see the next European champions coming out of our group. We have a very clear objective - first to reach the quarter-finals, then naturally to try to go as far as possible.”
On the inclusion of former Under-20 World Cup star Oliveira, Bento added: “Nelson has different characteristics from the other strikers.
“He is a young man with great quality and potential and we will logically try to make him useful for us.”
