Spain should fear Balotelli, claims Italy coach

Spain need to be wary of a fired up Mario Balotelli in Sunday’s Euro 2012 Final, according to Italy boss Cesare Prandelli.

Bet365 are giving Bettingpro readers a £200 free bet on the Euro 2012 Final

Balotelli burst into life against Germany, scoring both of Italy's goals in a 2-1 win to fire the team into the final, and Prandelli is enjoying coaching the temperamental striker, who hadn't impressed in the earlier group games.

He said: “I have coached Adriano, (Adrian) Mutu, (Antonio) Cassano and Balotelli.

“They are difficult to manage but it's more fascinating. In the end, they are more faithful than those (players) who think they are champions when they aren't. They are players that have quality and make you win.”

He said of Balotelli, who is 13/2 to score first on Sunday: “He has enormous potential. He has a good (club) coach in (Manchester City manager Roberto) Mancini, who will help him grow.

“Mario wants to repeat his performance against Germany on Sunday.”

Balotelli is 8/1 to repeat his antics of the semi-final and be booked for removing his shirt after scoring, while he is also 6/1 to be the Man of the Match and 20/1 to be sent off in the final.

Bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth told Bettingpro.com: “Balotelli dominated the headlines after the semi-final and you wouldn’t put it past him doing the same, one way or the other, for the final.”
