How long pretty boy Lloyd Daniels can linger among the big guns.
This year's X Factor voting has produced more dodgy results than a Zimbabwe general election and the $64,000 question is whether there will be at least one more twist in the tale.
After finally calling time on the wacky antics of John and Edward, we are now left wondering how long pretty boy Lloyd Daniels can linger among the big guns.
Joe McElderry and Stacey Solomon seem pretty much untouchable at the top of the pecking order and few would argue that Danyl Johnson and Olly Murs have the talent to grace the final.
But little Lloyd has surely been surviving on just his looks alone and bookmakers can't see that getting him by at this late stage as he is odds-on at 4/7 with Boylesports to be sent packing after Live Show 7.
The remaining acts had to tackle two songs in a combined Take That and Elton John tribute night and both of Lloyd's performances left much to be desired in most judges' eyes.
Obviously Cheryl Cole waved the flag for her charge and called on all of Wales to unite behind him, while Dannii Minogue made references to his loyal fan base who could be heard screaming away as usual.
But Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell have never been won over by the teenager's charm and once more chose to focus on the flaws in his vocal qualities.
"Lloyd, you are in the final five of the competition, so obviously people like you much more than I do," declared Louis after a mediocre Million Love Songs. "It's up to the public but I think you could struggle."
Both he and Simon did accept it was a song that suited Lloyd, but the ever critical Cowell added: "It was a little bit mechanical, so on the second song I want to see a bit more commitment and effort."
Next up was I'm Still Standing, but would it be a defiant topical tip or a parting shot from Lloyd?
"You're just about standing," joked Louis. "It just didn't look like you're having a good time and it was all a bit too karaoke for me. It was nice but we're not looking for nice any more - we're looking for a star!"
"You haven't got anyone still standing," retaliated Cheryl, but there were more jibes to come from Cowell, who first stated: "I think that was a silly song choice".
Simon added: "That retro routine just didn't suit you, it didn't suit the song - it was like something from a sort of amateur dramatics production."
Danyl is a clear second favourite at 9/4 with Boylesports to go next, with Olly 10/1, Stacey 25/1 and Joe 66/1.
