William Hill is celebrating the Royal Wedding Day in a unique way by rebranding the company from William Hill to William & Kate. It is the first time in almost 80 years of trading that Hills have made such a gesture and each shop will have a limited edition set of betting slips for the day, along with 20 free bets on What Time Kate Middleton Will Arrive At The Abbey. The £50,000 free bet giveaway will be distributed on a first come first served basis on the 29th.
Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro:
“You don’t get many opportunities such as these to celebrate as a nation and we hope punters will have fun on the day. We have already accepted bets on almost every eventuality, including Harry dropping the ring, Prince Phillip having a kip in the service and Kate getting William’s name wrong. Having a wager on the Royal wedding has become a global phenomenon with at least one bet received from over 100 different countries."
