A confident punter has placed £5,000 on the controversial duo winning Eurovision for Ireland

Bookies William Hill are once again in fear of Jedward after a Hills customer placed a £5,000 bet at 20/1 that they will win the Eurovision Song Contest, should the customer be correct then they will win a massive £100,000. It is the second four figure bet on the Irish duo, who have been cut from 20/1 to 14/1, and early indications are that a Jedward victory could cost the industry an astonishing £2 million.

William Hill hope to take £1 million by the time the show has finished on Saturday 14th May and as it stands, France are the 11/4 favourites with the UK offered at 11/2.

“Jedward may well appeal to the Eurovision audience and should they win it will be the worst result for the bookies in Eurovision history!” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.

William Hill Eurovision Odds Winner: 11/4 France; 11/2 UK; 7/1 Estonia; 8/1 Azerbaijan; 9/1 Hungary; 12/1 Sweden; 14/1 Ireland; 16/1 Bosnia Herzegovina; 16/1 Denmark, 16/1 Germany, 20/1 Norway, 20/1 Russia, 40/1 Finland, 40/1 Turkey, 40/1 Italy, 50/1 Bar
