British bookmakers, William Hill, have decided to payout on Colin Firth winning the Best Actor Oscar after he won another award at the BAFTAs. At the close of betting Firth was 1/50 to win the Best Actor Oscar with the biggest bet of £1800. Hills are now betting on how long Colin Firth's acceptance speech will be on Oscar night making 30-60 seconds their 2/5 favourite.

Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams. told Bettingpro:

"We feel that Colin is certain to pick up the Best Actor Oscar, so we are happy to pay out on all bets laid prior to 12pm on the 14th of Febuary, 

"In fact we are so confident that he will win that we are betting on how long his acceptance speech will be!"
