Having staked £25 at odds of 100/1 the wager could return £2500 (plus the £100 stake). Should he win, he will receive £1000, which he will be donating to greyhound and cancer charities.Crilly added: “Dave still has some way to go but has attracted a host of followers and could do with one final push from the nation in order to help him over the finishing line. Don’t let the bookies win!”A William Hill customer will be out on his local beach on Christmas Day - searching for the penguin which could land him a 5000/1 festive flutter.Forty-five-year-old Sean Monaghan had a premonition that 'a male emperor penguin will land on South Shields beach on Christmas Day' so he asked William Hill to quote him odds about such a thing happening - and was offered odds of 5000/1 for his £1 stake.
