Watch Prince Charles report the weather on BBC Scotland

Prince Charles presented the weather on Thursday, with Prince Harry the even money favourite to be the next royal weatherman

Prince Charles has had a bash at weather forecasting today, with the future King talking about the cold, wet and windy conditions that are set to prevail in Scotland over the next 24 hours.

It was a decent effort from Charles, who waxed lyrical about the weather conditions in Edinburgh and Ayrshire along with other notable landmarks in Scotland.

Prince Harry is the even money favourite to become the next weatherman from the Royal family according to Ladbrokes.

Following Prince Charles's hilarious debut as a BBC Scotland weather presenter the bookies are predicting that it's his son Harry, who's the even money favourite to be the next member of the Royal family to take to our screens and become the next Michael Fish.

Harry's followed closely in the betting by Kate at 2/1 along with her husband William at 5/1, and Princess Zara is chalked up as an 8/1 shot.

At 100/1 it looks unlikely that the Queen herself tells the nation the bad news that it's going to be another wet and miserable summer this year. There's also a 1000/1 chance the Jubilee weekend is a washout and gets cancelled because of the weather.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro: "Harry's the joker of the pack and it's impossible for him to not be the favourite. Prince Charles has set the bar high though for the next Royal weatherman or woman!"
