(credit: jdn) Related Articles See all Music Specials news Share it Pin It Paddy Power are offering a range of special bets on the celebrity haunt which might be open in time for St Patrick’s DayIt closed its doors in 2002 after playing host to some of the world’s most famous names but now U2’s nightclub ‘The Kitchen’, situated in the basement of The Clarence Hotel, is to make a spectacular comeback.With rumours rife that the old celebrity haunt is being revamped and resurrected in time for St Patrick’s Day bookies Paddy Power have already started taking bets on who will front the club.Gorgeous model Georgia Salpa is the 6/1 favourite to play host and cook up a storm in U2’s Kitchen while Bono’s beautiful daughter Memphis Eve is 8/1. Bono’s buxom pal Amanda Brunker is 10/1 on the list followed by wife Ali at 12/1, Rosanna Davison at 20/1 and Bob Geldof’s offspring Pixie and Peaches at 25/1 and 33/1! Whether or not the club will keep its old name remains to be seen but it’s 1/8 with Paddy Power to retain the name ‘The Kitchen’. Other possible new tags include ‘Discothéque’ after the bands lead single from the album ‘Pop’, ‘Vertigo’ after the bands opening track from their album ‘How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb’ and ‘The Point’ after the old O2 venue. The club, if re-opened, is 4/1 to be awarded Best Nightclub in Ireland by ‘Irish Hospitality’ in its first year of opening.Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power told Bettingpro: “In its day The Kitchen was definitely one of the places to be.
