Paddy Power expecting U2 to be around for a long time despite rumours surrounding Bono

Paddy Power have been inundated with requests from fearful punters today for rock band U2 to call it a day on the back of bogus claims that front-man Bono had been rushed to hospital with heart palpitations while on holiday in France.

However, the bookie seems confident that Bono and the boys will be around for another while yet, and are quoting 25/1 odds against the band breaking up in the coming year.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power told Bettingpro: “Because U2 have been around for thirty-five years there is always a question mark over how long they’ll continue as a foursome. Fans can rest easy though because we reckon the lads are going nowhere!”

In fact it’s a short 4/1 with Paddy Power that Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton will still be rocking it out in ten year’s time!

U2 FUTURE
4/1    U2 to still be performing and recording as a band in 2021
25/1    Irish rock band U2 to call it a day before the end of 2012
