Rachael Leahcar has continued to firm as favourite to win The Voice after last night’s performance, but a rush of money for Lakyn Heperi has seen him firm from $6.00 to $3.75 with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.
Leahcar is now into $2.75, the shortest odds for any contestant to date for the show, after opening at $8.00 following her first performance.
Karise Eden is next in the market at $3.50, but it is Lakyn Heperi who has been well supported by the punters, including a bet of $500 on him at odds of $5.00 for a potential collect of $2,500 should he win.
“Rachael is still clearly the one to beat and she has had more bets placed on her than anyone else, but Lakyn isn’t far behind and over the last week he has easily been the most popular with punters,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.
From last night’s performances, Emma Louise Birdsall ($1.30) and Chris Sebastian ($1.40) are the favourites to be eliminated from Seal’s group, with Danni Da Ros ($1.30) and Glenn Cunningham ($1.40) are looking likely to get the boot from Delta’s group.
