Odds on former presenter making a come-back slashed
WilliamHill have been forced to slash the price of Terry Wogan returning to present the BBC’s Eurovision coverage from 100/1 to just 12/1, following a string of bets on the much-loved presenter making a come-back.
The enquiries were made in the Luton area, and WilliamHill clearly believe there could be substance to the speculation, particularly with Wogan having retired from his BBC Radio breakfast show this year.
Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro:
"Wogan has a fair amount of free time after giving up his morning radio programme and there are some punters who seem convinced that he will make a
triumphant return in Norway,"
The firm, however, are certain that even if Terry does return, he is unlikely to see a British winner in Norway, with the odds of the UK entry winning the competition set at 33/1.
