Susan Boyle transatlantic sensation

Britain’s Got Talent is making waves in the US all thanks to 47-year-old Scottish singer Susan Boyle.

Despite only being one show into the new series, punters have seen enough and have backed her at all odds from 3/1 down to 5/6. Certainly the 12million-plus hits Susan has already generated on YouTube will have played a part and Paddy Power are now betting on how many hits she receives before the end of the series.

The bookie is offering 3/1 that there are more than 51 million hits of the clip with the shortest odds being 41-45 million hits at 5/2.

After catching the eyes and ears of Hollywood A-lister Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher everyone is jumping on the ‘Boyle bandwagon’. Paddy Power are betting 4/1 that Susan will top the US singles charts in 2009 and 6/1 she tops the album charts. It’s also just 5/1 that she wins a Grammy Award in 2010 and 12/1 she follows in some major world stars footsteps and guest stars in an episode of The Simpsons.

It's also 6/1 that Susan is Twitter’s most followed person by the end of the year.

Darren Haines, spokesman for Paddy Power, said: "This year’s Britain’s Got Talent is all about Susan Boyle. We’ve never had one person completely dominate the betting after just one show of any talent competition before – and Simon Cowell is going to have to unearth something very special to stop her now."
