Sky Bet make Slumdog Millionaire 1/2 favourite to win Best Picture at the Oscars having picked up a total of 10 nominations today.

The British film has taken the critics by storm and already has 11 Bafta nominations and four Golden Globes to its name this year.

The story follows a Mumbai slum boy who strikes it rich by winning India's version of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ and Sky Bet offer just 1/2 that Danny Boyle scoops the Best Director award.

Sky Bet’s Helen Jacob said: "Slumdog may not have got most nods (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button did with 13 and the film with most bids has won 15 times in last 20 years) but it’s still taken home most of the top prizes so far this season and remains our frontrunner."

Best Picture:
Slumdog Millionaire - 1/2
The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button - 9/4
Milk - 10/1
Frost/Nixon - 12/1
The Reader - 12/1

Best Director:
Danny Boyle, Slumdog Millionaire - 1/2
David Fincher, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - 9/4
Stephen Daldry, The Reader - 8/1
Ron Howard, Frost/Nixon - 16/1
Gus Van Sant, Milk - 16/1

Meanwhile Boylesport make it just 2/1 that the star of the film, Dev Patel, will appear in the UK’s celebrity version of the long running quiz-show in 2009.
