The South of England is expected to out-party the North on Royal Wedding Day, according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies have released a range of markets on which part of the UK is set to lead the way as the race to host the biggest and best street parties hots up.
The South are 2/9 favourites at
Ladbrokes with the North the 3/1 outsiders.
David Williams of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro:
"Royal wedding fever is gripping the country but the North needs to up its game. We think Southerners have got more appetite for a party with London and many of the Home Counties leading the way."
Greater London is 4/1 to be the region with the biggest street parties. Also prominent in the betting are Wales (8/1), Hampshire (12/1), Hertfordshire (12/1) and the very popular Warwickshire at 5/1.
The bookies have dismissed Scotland's chances of winning the betting market with 66/1 being quoted following reports of a lack of interest in Glasgow.
Markets will be settled according to official local council records of street party activities.
