Adele is odds on to win both Best Female Artist and Best Track at the 2011 Q Awards
Adele is hotly tipped by the bookies to scoop at least two Q Awards according to
Ladbrokes.
She's odds-on for both the 'Best Female Artist' gong at 4/6 and a shorter 1/2 to land Best Track for 'Someone like you' where Aloe Blacc's 'I Need a Dollar' appears to be her biggest competition at 4/1. Breakthrough artist is another shortlist housing a short priced favourite in the shape of Ed Sheeran at even money and following her Glastonbury debut Beyonce is also a hot 6/4 favourite to win best live act.
P J Harvey is 7/4 to follow up her Mercury award with Q's Best Album for 'Let England Shake' and she also earns a 4/1 quote to double up with best female artist.
Awards which appear to be wide open include the coveted 'Best Act in the World today' where Muse shade favouritism at 5/2 from Arcade Fire & Kasabian (both 3/1).
U2 are the 5/1 clear favourites for 'Greatest Act of the last 25 years' on a star-studded shortlist which also features Coldplay (8/1), R.E.M (10/1) and Madonna at 16/1.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro:
"It's testament to Adele's superb year that she's well fancied to scoop two of the biggest awards. As ever with a public vote there can be a few shocks along the way but as it stands she better get her acceptance speech ready."
He added: "U2 are in pole position position for the lifetime award but face some stiff competition from acts who would be worthy winners."
