Kate Winslet is a 1/7 certainty to win an Oscar at next month's ceremony but the big question is will she embarrass herself further during her acceptance speech.
William Hill are offering 25/1 that her acceptance speech is less than ten words & 100/1 they she says nothing at all! "Kate will be cringing when she sees the tapes today but we expect her to be more prepared for the Oscars," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
Hills have odds-on favourites for all three of the Oscars they are betting on and as a result expect a record turnover on the market. Slumdog is now 4/11 favourite for Best Film having been cut from 8/15, with Kate Winslet shortened from 8/11 to 8/13.
"Short priced favourites tend to attract high rollers and the early signs are that we are in for a record Oscar betting turnover," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
