The X Factor looks set to win best talent show and Simon Cowell could have another National Television Award with latest hit Red or Black.
Voting has opened for the 2012 National Television Awards and already bookies
Paddy Power have pin-pointed their favourites in each category.
Usual suspects Ant & Dec, ITV’s X Factor and top soap EastEnders all made the cut and are hotly tipped to pick up a gong on the night. Paddy Power have made Eastenders the odds-on favourite at 10/11 to win the award for Most Popular Serial Drama this year but the soap is closely stalked in the betting by Coronation Street at 5/4.
Simon Cowell’s ‘X Factor’ is 11/10 to win Most Popular Talent Show, while ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’ is the 6/4 favourite ahead of the likes of ‘The Only Way is Essex’ at 13/8 and ‘Made in Chelsea’ at 7/1 to win Best Reality Programme.
Simon Cowell’s new entertainment programme ‘Red or Black’ is the 15/8 favourite to pick up the award for Most Popular Entertainment Programme while Ant & Dec look once again untouchable in the category for Best Entertainment Presenter at 4/7!
The closest category is probably the Most Popular Drama where the BBC’s award winning drama series ‘Waterloo Road’ at 7/4 faces stiff competition from ITV’s popular drama ‘Downton Abbey’ at 2/1.
The glittering awards will take place at the O2 London on Wednesday 25th January 2012.
