Miss Ireland is the 50/1 Dark Horse to Win Miss World 2009

Miss Ireland, Laura Patterson, could be the one to watch at the Miss World final this weekend in Johannesburg, South Africa. Boylesports has priced the blond bombshell at 50/1 to win the competition while Miss Northern Ireland, Cherie Gardiner is at 100/1.

Miss Peurto Rico, Jennifer Colon is the 6/4 favourite to be crowned Miss World 2009 and is followed by Miss Mexico who is 11/4 to win the title.

A price of 12/1 is on offer for Miss France, Chloe Mortaud, to win the beauty contest while Miss Brazil, Luciana Reis is at 40/1 to take home the crown.

“Miss Ireland has received plenty of home support but she still remains an outsider at 50/1, however in previous years it has always been an outsider who has won the title,” commented Nicola McGeady, Entertainment Spokesperson for Boylesports.
