Miss Cork favourite to win Miss Ireland

A number of new favourites have emerged in the race to win this year’s Miss Ireland crown. Bookies Paddy Power have made Miss University Terri McEvoy and Miss Dublin Central joint 5/1 favourites to win this Saturday ahead of exotic stunner Etaoin O’Hailpin at 8/1.
Another big mover in the bookies list of contenders is Miss Dublin South Rebecca Doherty. Installed at initial odds of 25/1 Rebecca has risen up the beauty ranks to third favourite on Paddy Power’s list at 6/1.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power told Bettingpro: “We knew this year was going to be close but the betting is really and truly wide open. Any one of these girls could be the next Miss Ireland. Interestingly Cork stunner and sister of the sporting superstars Sean Og, Setanta and Aisake, Etaoin hasn’t been as well backed as we thought she would be.”
Miss Ireland takes place this Saturday 26th September.
