Following this evening’s nomination announcements Leona Lewis looks set to sweep the board at this year’s Brit Awards. Bookmaker Sky Bet has installed the X-Factor winner as the 1/5 favourite to walk away with Best Female Solo Artist gong and at 1/2 to win the award for best British album.

Mika is the 1/4 favourite for Best Male Artist, with Mark Ronson his closet contender at 10/3.

Take That’s comeback has proved to be a success with the band nominated in four categories and the red hot favourite for British Group (4/7) and best live act(15/8).

Helen Jacob, entertainment manager at Sky Bet, said: “After rock artists dominated last year this year’s Brits sees resurgence of pop and with four nominations each, Leona, Mika and Take That leading the way.”

According to the bookie, Rihanna at 1/3 is the favourite to take the international female solo award and Kanye West is 6/4 to win best international male solo award.
