The bookies report that nearly half the bets taken on the entire contest are for Jedward alone with nearly £100,000 placed on the twins in the last week, forcing their price from 25/1 into 11/4. It's now accepted that they will start the live final as favourites and the bookies are expecting to take hundreds of live bets a minute online as punters watch the show in Dusseldorf and back contestants in running until the final result is known. Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro: "We've never seen anything like this in the history of music and novelty betting.
