The singing siblings have been turning heads since jetting off to Dusseldorf last Tuesday morning and are now hotly tipped to secure a place in Saturday night’s final. The odds on the Lucan lads winning the Eurovision outright have also been slashed to 14/1 from 20/1 as punters continue to get behind them. The boost in support could also be down to a recent internet predictor gadget based on Google search data which showed Jedward way ahead of the pack. If Jedward were to qualify and go on to win the Eurovision for Ireland, Paddy Power could be facing a record breaking payout of over €1million! Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power told Bettingpro: “If voting was based on energy and enthusiasm the lads would have this year’s Eurovision in the bag! The bets are coming in fast now for Jedward and at the moment we’re estimating a hair-raising payout of over €1million if they pull it off!” The first Eurovision Song Contest semi final takes place tomorrow night (Tuesday) with the second semi final airing on Thursday. The final will take place this Saturday 14th May.
