Jason Kilar is the bookies' favourite to take over at Yahoo according to Ladbrokes.

The current Hulu boss trades as the 3/1 favourite in a market which reads as a who's who of web talent. Former NewsCorp exec and media mogul Peter Chermin comes in next at 5/1 and is the joint second favourite with Ross Levinsohn who is the shortest priced runner currently working at Yahoo. Google boss Eric Schmidt is a 200/1 outsider with Bill Gates and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "Kiler appears to tick all the boxes and is a worthy favourite for the vacancy. Levinsohn looks the pick if they recruit internally."

He added: "Backers will be rewarded at a huge price if they plunder one of their biggest rivals."
