It is just 13/8 that there will be snow in November as Britain and Ireland get ready for a cold winter.

According to some meteorologists, Britain and Ireland are in for a premature ‘Big Freeze’ this year with some forecasters even saying we’ll see snow as early as next month!

Despite the grey outlook, Paddy Power predict little chance of snow being recorded next month and are offering generous odds of 7/2 that we’ll see the white stuff. It’s far more likely at 10/11 with Paddy Power that snow will fall later in the year in December.

Last year the coldest temperature recorded was -15.7°C at Casement Aerodrome on Christmas Day. Temperatures are once more tipped to plummet to Baltic levels this year with Paddy Power quoting 6/1 that the mercury drops to between -15.1°C and -17°C.

The odds on Ireland experiencing more chaos this year and running out of grit is just 7/4 while it’s 7/2 that Dublin will wake up to a winter wonderland.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power told Bettingpro:

“It’s still very mild out but saying that, Mother Nature never fails to surprise us. We probably will see snow this year but October might be just a little bit too early. We’ll just have to wait and see!”
